Jennifer “Jenny” J. Jamieson, age 73, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Miller Place in Celina. She was born on September 29, 1949 in Celina to the late Kenneth “Butch” and Aldora (Botkin) Jamieson.
She is also preceded in death by two sisters, Judith (Ben) Severs and Linda (Don) Poor; and a nephew, Dennis (Lisa) Severs.
Jenny was a 1968 graduate of Celina High School and went on to Wright State Lake Campus in Celina, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in education. She worked for Celina City Schools for 37 years as a first-grade teacher, before her retirement in 2007.
She was a very active member of Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina, where she sang in the church choir for many years. She was also a member of Celina Kiwanis Club and the Celina Chapter #91 Order of Eastern Stars.
A memorial service in her honor will begin at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina with Rev. Matt Overman officiating, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm prior to the service. To conclude the gathering at the funeral home Eastern Star Services will be held.
Private graveside services will be held at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
